Installation
How to install MotionKit — from Figma Community or manually.
Install from Figma Community
The easiest way to get MotionKit. One click, automatic updates:
- Open Figma and navigate to the Plugins tab in the toolbar (or press ⌘/Ctrl + / and search).
- Search for “MotionKit”.
- Click Install.
- Open any file → right-click canvas → Plugins → MotionKit.
Or go directly to the MotionKit Figma Community page.
Manual / development installation
For development builds, offline use, or testing pre-release versions:
- Download
motionkit.zipfrom the latest GitHub release. - Extract the ZIP file to any folder.
- In Figma Desktop: go to Plugins → Development → Import plugin from manifest…
- Select the
manifest.jsonfile from the extracted folder. - The plugin appears under Plugins → Development.
System requirements
- Figma Desktop — recommended for best performance and full keyboard shortcut support.
- Figma Web — works, but some shortcuts may conflict with browser shortcuts.
- FigJam — not supported (FigJam doesn't support plugin UI panels).
Updating
If you installed from the Figma Community, updates are automatic. For manual installs, download the latest release from GitHub and re-import.
